Finally, Affiliate Marketing Goes Global

The International affiliate community packs its luggage at least twice a year and goes to the US to attend the Affiliation conferences there. This hole became ,recently, very noticeable as the global affiliation market has significantly grew and affiliates are more careful now before spending 1,000s of dollars to go to the US conferences.

My friend Itay Paz, a long time super affiliate, took a risky decision last year and its first Affilicon held in Israel was a tremendous success. With over 700 attendees, great exhibition and top presentations, I felt it was better than any conference I have ever attended.

Now Affilicon has just published its next 12 months schedule. With events in Israel, Stockholm, Beijing, Mumbai, and Prague, most affiliates can drive or take a short flight and attend a conference that is tailored to their market. Talking to Chinese affiliates is different than talking to European ones. Itay is telling me that they expect to have 20%-30% of the presentations in China, will be conducted in Chinese, while in the rest of the events most presentation will be conducted in English.

The coming conference and exhibition in Israel on June 1-2nd is positioned as the Global affiliates event. As Israel is perfectly geographically located for any continent it is expected that out of the 1,500 people who will attend over 500 will arrive from the US, Europe and Asia. The exhibition is planned for over 70 exhibitors and sponsors, mostly global ones. PPCBully will, again, be attending and having a booth. 3 presentations tracks will address the needs of new affiliates, experienced and one is designated specially for vendors.

Meet Us At Affiliate Summit 2009 West In Las Vegas

If you want to meet us face to face, there’s good news for you. PPC Bully is going to participate in the Affiliate Summit 2009 west in Las Vegas. We invite all of you to meet us there. Affiliate Summit is a premier affiliate marketing conference and the 2009 conference is going to be the largest one.

Missy Ward and Shawn Collins, the founders of Affiliate Summit organize this summit a couple of times every year. They founded it in the year 2003 with an objective to provide a learning platform for affiliate marketers and foster a productive networking environment for them. In the summit, various educational sessions are run on the latest issues in the affiliate marketing industry. Affiliate Summit West 2009 is going to be the 12^th Affiliate Summit Conference.

Who Else Are Participating?

There are five main categories of participants who attend the Affiliate Summit – vendors, networks, merchants, affiliates, and agencies. Considering the trends in the previous summits, affiliates form the largest group of participants at Affiliate Summit. In the Affiliate Summit 2008 East, the attendees included 6% vendors, 25% networks, 8% agency, 25% merchants, and 36% affiliate marketers.

The first Affiliate Summit was organized in the New York City in the month of November 2003. Then, the total number of attendees was only 200. But, since the inception of the summit conference for each location, the number has grown steadily. With each successive summit, Shawn and Missy (the founders) tweaked elements to improve the quality of the summit that eventually brought more attendees. Last year, about 3000 people participated in the Las Vegas 2008 conference.

Shawn and Missy are still the main faces of the show. At the time when they had founded this Affiliate Summit, Affiliate Force was the reigning conference, which was actually a yearly cruise around the Caribbean. Shawn and Missy were associated with that conference as well. But, they wanted some changes to make the conference better – however, things didn’t work. After the April 2003 edition of Affiliate Force, Shawn and Missy launched Affiliate Summit as an alternative, which has now become the reigning conference in the affiliate marketing industry.

PPC Bully has also decided to attend the upcoming summit – the Affiliate Summit 2009 west in Las Vegas. You are cordially invited to meet us there in the summit. The Affiliate Summit West 2009 includes an exhibit hall with the attendees. So, note it down – it is going to be a three-day summit conference this time from January 11 to January 13, 2009. The place is Las Vegas. We are waiting to meet you.
